Penzion Poľana offers its guests the possibility of individual wellness relaxation in the Finnish and BIO sauna. As well the stylish refreshment after a sauna for hardy people by pouring icy cold water from a wooden bucket is a our challenge.

The BIO sauna represents a unique combination of a dry sauna, enriched with the healing effect of herbs. To achieve the desired effect, in the BIO sauna we use a temperature in the range of 50-60 °C, which is lower than the usual temperature of a Finnish sauna and is therefore more pleasant for a longer stay or is an excellent compromise for people who do not like the more demanding original Finnish sauna. The environment of the BIO sauna is very pleasant and well tolerated by children, who we want to gradually get used to saunas. Due to the use of herbs and essential oils however, it is advisable to be careful and avoid this type of sauna in case of an allergic disease or reaction to any of the ingredients used.

A Finnish sauna is a type of dry sauna that is built of wood. The spacious interior room is equipped with benches at different heights on the sides. The floor is made of solid processed wood.

An integral part of a Finnish sauna is a stove supplemented with stacked stones, which are sprinkled with enriched water from time to time. For regenerative effects, an air temperature between 80 and 100 °C with a relative air humidity of approximately 5% is recommended.

In general, the sauna is an ideal means of prevention against viruses, colds and other diseases. A regular stay in the sauna improves your condition and increases the body's defenses. Heat improves the mobility of muscles and joints and relaxes them. Sauna has a positive effect on alleviating pain in the joints. Sweating also has a cosmetic effect. Pores and skin are cleaned and the overall condition of the skin is improved. This is how the body gets rid of waste products.

At the same time, the sauna belongs to the most versatile hardening procedures. In addition, with rapid heating and subsequent cooling, blood vessels expand and narrow, making them more elastic. Sauna provides good blood circulation to the brain, limbs and skin.

After a lot of effort, a stay in a Finnish sauna can restore energy to the body. Proper sauna use must also be accompanied by a proper drinking regimen.

Taking a sauna in each type of sauna has different benefits, so it is advisable to choose the right sauna.
