Hiking

From Starý Smokovec

Starý Smokovec is located only 300 meters from Poľana. From Poľana, you can walk to Starý Smokovec in 10 minutes. From there, you can hike to Sliezsky dom or Zamkovského chata chalets or try a more challenging hike to Slavkovský štít.

From Tatranská Lomnica

Tatranská Lomnica is located 1.5 km from the pension Karpatia. Tatranská Lomnica is a good starting point for a hike to Skalnaté pleso, Skalnatá chata or you can take the cableway to Lomnický štít.

Slavkovský štít

This mountain peak is very popular among tourists. It used to attract chamois hunters in the past.

Téryho chata

A chalet located in the valley of Malá Studená dolina at an altitude of 2,015 meters above sea level. very close to five mountain lakes called Spišské plesá.

Zamkovského chata

The lowermost mountain chalet in the High Tatras in a valley called Malá Studená dolina.

Chata pri Zelenom plese

This mountain chalet is situated in a beautiful environment in the valley of Dolina Zeleného plesa with an altitude of 1551 m above sea level. It is a popular landmark for hikers, cyclists, mountain climbers and ski mountaineers.

Belianska jaskyňa

Belianska jaskyňa is a cave which used to be a popular gold-digging site in the first half of the 18th century. It is located in the eastern part of the Tatras National Park called Belianske Tatry.

Rafting in Pieniny

The river Dunajec takes waters from the Slovak territory to the Baltic Sea. Enjoy rafting accompanied by traditional Goral music.

Aquacity Poprad

It is probably the most famous aqua park in Slovakia. You can enjoy indoor and outdoor pools, massages, saunas, cryocenter, and water slides.

Vrbov Thermal Park is very close to the Tatras. Outdoor pools are open in winter as well.

Night Life

Mountaineer's pub

The lowermost mountain chalet in the Tatras is also known as the Polish pub. It is located only a few meters from Poľana hotel.

Music pub Humno

Cocktail bar, disco club and restaurant all under one roof. Guests can have a close look at a genuine snow plough which used to remove snow from slopes in the Tatras for years.

Adrenalin Night Ride

A snow plough will take you to 1670 m above sea level. A special "taxi" called Tatrak starts in Tatranská Lomnica and finishes at Štart station (2 km), where dinner is served.
